Park Slope Residence

For this garden-level apartment in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood, SJA carried out a comprehensive renovation, increasing the footprint of usable space by integrating built-in storage and carefully considering circulation. We opened up the kitchen to extend into the living space, allowing light to enter each room. Outdated cabinets were replaced with new millwork with toe-kick drawers to allow for ample storage in the newly expanded kitchen. In the common area, built-in shelving and reconfigured closets added extra space for seating. To create additional space in the bedroom, SJA designed a custom bed with built-in bedside tables.
