Brooklyn Office Space

For Inamoto & Co., a branding and advertising firm, SJA designed a contemporary workspace in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn. Working within a limited budget, we created cost-effective strategies to transform what had been an industrial space into a creative work environment, laying it out in a way such that the company could adapt to growth and change over time. To create a healthy space, and to encourage interaction and collaboration, SJA incorporated a new kitchen and lounge area. A new concrete slab floor helps retain the industrial aesthetic, and new floor-to-ceiling glass partitions provide spatial separation without compromising transparency. Existing features, such as the exposed beams and brick walls, reference the space’s industrial past.
