A start-up marketing and advertising firm, Inamoto & Co, rented a former factory in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn.
Working within a limited budget, with a few design changes, we created a space that is true to the building's industrial character while integrating changes necessary for its latest incarnation.
By pouring a new concrete slab floor and a glass partition for conference rooms, the space was transformed. The addition of a communal kitchen and phone booths highlight the importance of balancing collectivity with individuality. The offices evoke the past while welcoming the future.
